Atwell Renewable Energy Owner's Representative (OR) and Construction Monitoring Services (CMS)
Supporting our clients during the construction of their utility-scale renewable energy projects
- Solar PV, wind, battery storage, substations and gen-tie, up to 100s of MW
- Monitoring construction, interconnection, commissioning and completion
- Acting as technical consultants, project coordinators and representatives on-site
- Reducing technical risk for our clients and helping them avoid and solve problems
Our team has 30+ years of experience on 15,000+ MW of renewable energy projects


Work Description
- Atwell CMS professionals are assigned to work at client project construction sites, anywhere in the continental United States
- 80-100% field-based assignments, 0-20% office-based assignments
- Field assignments include
- Long-term assignments, often one year or longer
- Short-term assignments, including multiple projects at the same time
- Review and understand all applicable construction-related documents, including
- Scope, requirements, construction drawings, engineering studies, standards and codes
- Project schedules, work plans, job books, progress reports, issue reports and logs
- Observe, report on and advise on the work being performed and other activities on site
- All work-related expenses are paid by Atwell, including travel, vehicle, lodging and meals
- Atwell professionals are provided with paid travel home on a regularly scheduled basis
- Perform CAD and other engineering support tasks when not on field assignment
Working Conditions
- This person will be required to be driving for extended periods of time working from remote locations out of the truck or job trailer
- Majority of the work will be in outdoor conditions in all types of weather
- Must be physically able to walk around on uneven ground conducting inspection on jobsites
- Have the understanding and skills to safely navigate around a construction sites both on foot and in a vehicle avoiding hazards
- Typically operates a computer and other office productivity machinery

Day to Day

- Experience with the construction of utility-scale renewable energy projects, 1-5 years
- Experience with one or more technical domains
- Civil, structural and mechanical
- Electrical - DC, MV, HV, SCADA
- Able to
- Work at client project sites, long term and short term, anywhere in the United States
- Work outdoors, under all safe weather conditions
- Proficient with
- Construction project execution, quality and safety management practices
- Construction document management systems
- Microsoft Office software
- Possess or obtain and maintain the following certifications
- OSHA 10-hour
- NFPA 70E
- First Aid/CPR/AED
