  • Overview

    The Talent Acquisition Specialist (Recruiter) will use multiple mediums including advertising, social networking, cold calling, employee referrals, and internet research to source active and passive candidates in an effort to provide a sufficient pool of candidates to be considered for all openings across the firm.  In this role, an employee will be expected to develop and demonstrate proficiency in regards to the essential functions of the job found below.  An understanding or desire to learn engineering recruitment and some basic knowledge of Power & Energy, Civil Engineering or Oil & Gas is preferred. 


    • Determine applicant qualifications:
      • Conduct phone screens, personal interviews and reference checks.
      • Learn the industries we work in and stay on top of industry trends.
    • Maintain applicant records:
      • File applications.
      • Document interviews and job offers.
    • Present qualified candidates to Director of Talent Acquisition:
      • Schedule appointments.
      • Discuss qualifications and observations from interview and reference checks.
    • Maintain job openings on corporate website and industry job boards:
      • Update information on a regular basis.
    • Create recruitment material.
      • Design candidate correspondence letters / e-mails.
    • Must be familiar with employment practices including
      • Affirmative Action
      • EEO Policies and procedures
    • Able to effectively interact with candidates and various levels of management staff.
    • Competency in business writing.
    • Gain professional knowledge:
      • Attend educational workshops.
      • Participate in applicable professional societies and trade associations.
    • Contribute to team effort.
      • Accomplish related results as needed.
    • Research Candidates:
      • Write advertisements and job postings based on hiring criteria.
      • Conduct research on competitors and on educational and other target institutions in the market. Build a substantial competitive intelligence knowledge base of desired areas, companies, etc.
      • Cultivate relationships with key educational institutions and industry organizations that are in-line with Atwell initiatives.


    • Bachelor’s degree OR a combination of formal training and applicable experience.
    • Experience in researching, sourcing, screening, and saving candidate resumes.
    • Experience in resume search by utilizing various methods (ex: job boards, internal database searches, networking, referrals, online searches, posting open positions, Boolean searches, etc.)
    • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems. We are utilizing ICIMS ATS and LinkedIN Recruiter
    • In depth industry knowledge & experience using the Internet and Microsoft Office.
    • Previous experience with Real Estate, Architecture, Engineering or Construction industry preferred.
